I. Institute for
Development Studies
a. Master of Arts (M. A) in Governance and Sustainable Development (GSD) – Employing problem based-learning methodology, this programme is offered in modules and seeks to integrate environmental management and good governance issues for sustainable development. The programme targets District Assembly staff, staff of decentralized departments, traditional authorities, NGO personnel and all persons interested in local level development management.
a. Master of Arts (M. b. Master of Arts (M.
A) in Environmental Management and Policy (EMP) – Targeting NGO personnel,
District Assembly staff and staff of environmental management agencies.
c. Master of Arts (M.
A) in Human Resource Development (HRD) – Targeting HRD personnel, principal
officers of training institutions, NGOs and Consulting Firms.
d. Master of Arts (M.
A) in Human Resource Management (HRM) – Targeting HRM personnel, principal
officers of schools, tradeunions, employers and NGO executives.
e. Master of Arts (M.
A) in Democracy, Governance, Law and Development (DGL) – Targeting members of
Parliament, staff and members of District Assemblies, NGO personnel,
Traditional Authorities.
f. Master of Arts (M.
A) in Peace and Development Studies (PDS) – The programme targets staff of Security Agencies,
Traditional Authorities, District Assemblies, Religious Organisations,
Judiciary, Media, Public and Civil Service and Political Parties.
g. Executive Post-Graduate
Certificate in Labour Policy Studies (LPS) – Targeting middle-level Trade
Union Executives, HRM personnel and employers.
Specific Entry
Requirements
Master of Arts - M.A
(GSD, EMP, HRD, HRM, DGL, PDS)
The applicant should
have a recognised Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower Division.
Provision is also made for special candidates from the public service, industry
and international Organisations without the Bachelor’s Degree. Such candidates
must be 45 years old by June, 2015.
